PAPAYA MUSIC WORKSHOP

T his workshop provides teachers and parents with an understanding of the importance of music for young children, 3-7 years old. It also simply shows how music works and techniques for using music in your own situation.

This workshop can last from 1-3 hours depending on your needs. There are plenty of handouts, it is discussion oriented, and we have lots of fun singing, dancing and playing!

 


BROTHERS AND SISTERS

In this workshop, we explore the meaning and importance of using diverse music, games and dances to develop both cross-cultural respect and parental involvement. It goes beyond ethnic activities and explores the definition of culture, the role of multicultural education, and how to respectfully explore these issues and activities with parents, teachers and children.

This workshop can last from 1-3 hours depending on your needs. There are plenty of handouts, it is discussion oriented, and we have lots of fun singing, dancing and playing!

 


ALL THAT JAZZ

This workshop provides teachers with the activities to lead their students through the history of African music and it's impact on our contemporary culture. Language, culture, history and geography are all used to explore the styles of African, slave, spirituals, blues, jazz, calypso and rap music.

This workshop can lasts 1 hour.There are plenty of handouts, it is discussion oriented, and we have lots of fun singing, dancing and playing!

 


SHAKE A LEG

This program shares basic concepts and great ides on movement activities. Participants will learn the importance of physical development for young children through body awareness, postural, locomotive and manipulative skills. The information and activities of this workshop are designed to be used with children birth-6.

This workshop can last from 1-3 hours depending on your needs. There are plenty of handouts, it is discussion oriented, and we have lots of fun singing, dancing and playing!
